Nature center with exhibit space, observation deck, & multi-purpose space.

As part of Colliers Project Leaders’ on-call contract with the State of Connecticut Department of Administrative Services, our team provided project management services, serving as the Construction Administrator, for the Hammonasset State Park’s new Meigs Point Nature Center. The new Nature Center includes a large multi-purpose space to seat 100 people, exhibit space for aquatic life, an outdoor observation deck with covered group seating for more than 40 people, and a public contact station/reception area.

As owner’s project manager, we were responsible for reviewing and recommending approval of the construction schedule submitted to the State by the general contractor and reviewing and providing recommendations to the State on shop drawing schedules, submittal schedules, and procurement schedules in conformance with the contract documents, project conditions, and approved construction schedule. Colliers Project Leaders also reviewed all work of the general contractor, subcontractors, and any additional service providers for compliance with the contract documents.
